Just confirming, for a 2000 viper GTS should I be shifting at redline?

I think there was mention that 1999 and older should should shift around 5500 and for 2000 and newer that they should be shifting at redline. Is this correct?

If you ever have the car dynoed look where the hp and tq meet and after that you should notice the two start to drop off. On my car from 5500 to 6000 rpm i lost about 50hp and 60tq. Now i shift at 5500 and noticed much improvment in my times at the track. All cars are different and mods make a difference so a dyno is the best way of finding out that perfect shift point for you.
good luck

HP and TQ always cross at 5250 RPM.

HP = (TQ X RPM) / 5250

HP doesn't always drop off at this point.
