Stainless Steel Brake lines

Is the reason for putting on stainless steel brake lines still valid for a car with Anti-lock brakes? Any input would be appreciated.

Yes! "As the original rubber hoses age, they tend to swell when the brakes are engaged, which results in a spongy brake pedal and reduced stopping distance" You will be less likely to need the anti-locks if you can feel what the brakes are doing. Also if you have a car with anti locks you have to be careful not to let air get up into the ABS sensors. If this occurs then they will have to be dissassembled. No way to bleed it out.

Ben at Dilusi has some real good pointers for doing this change with ABS cars. Essentially you just need to do the swap as quick as possible and it is certainly benefitial.

I have Stoptech s/s lines and eradispeed rotors on a 2001 GTS. I noticed a big difference over the stock set-up. The car is not tracked, though. Agressive street driving only.
