Stanley Steamer gets more attention!

It finally happened... I was at the hardware store, and another car got more attention than my RT/10!

A wonderfully kept 1919 Stanley Steamer!

That steam-driven car has a 600PSI boiler that puts 25hp sustained, and about 100hp peak... moving the 4,200lb iron horse at a sustained 55mph, with a top speed of about 70mph - on wooden spoked rims!

I hear they start at about $45k in good condition, and from what I figure, their owners treat them with such care, it'd be hard to fine one that wasn't a dream.

..just gotta say - WOW! :shocked:

They must have been torque fans and known that the Steamer puts out much more torque at low rpm than a Viper. So much torque that no clutch is needed! Full torque at 1 rpm must be nice!
