I don't know if these two things are related. Today starting the car when I push in the clutch, engine would not fire, if I mash it hard it starts. I'm pretty sure it's that neutral safey switch. When I first got the car I had to replace the two Lexan bushings on the clutch pedal, everything has been fine until today. The other thing that happened today when driving the car shut down, no dash warnings, pulled over had to mash the clutch pedal and started fine, ran fine. Just went out to try starting again, had to mash the pedal again. Car starts and fires up fine and I don't know why it shut down before. Any help or advise on similar things would be helpful.
