My steering wheel is not quite centered, when the car drives straight, on my
-96 GTS.
What can I do to adjust this?

Which side does the steering wheel lean toward?

Let's assume it's to the right: Loosen the jam nuts (15/16" or 23mm) on the tie rods and spray a little penetrating oil in the sockets. You want the wheel to go left toward center, so you have to pull the rack left because the pinion is below it. This means you have to shorten the left tie rod and lengthen the right one. Mark the bottom of the tie rod. Shorten the left by turning it clockwise about 1/2 turn, viewed from inboard. Lengthen the right one by turning it counter-clockwise 1/2 turn. Tighten the jam nuts and go for a short drive. Continue adjusting equally on each side until it is corrected.

I just did this Saturday afternoon on my car.

Thanks guys! It "sits low on the left". The wheels alignment is o.k, and the car drives straight as an arrow!
I will give it a shot next weekend!
