Stripes all the same?

[96 B&W GTS]

The question is:
Were the 96 GTS’s striped using a different process. My white stripes are really flush with the blue. My buddy has a 2000 graphite with silver and his have more of a ridge that you can feel , almost like they are thicker or the clear coat process is different. Most GTS’s that I feel are the same way. Whats the deal ???????????

Usually if a hood (for instance) has been repainted, the clear coat is over the stripes and it is really smooth to the touch. Check the stripes on your roof to see if all the stripes on the car are painted exactly the same.

I had my hood and fascia repainted after some track days sand/rock damage and the stripes are very smooth.
