96 GTS Roe S/C 8# pulley...Can I attain top speed in 6th gear with this setup, and achieve over 200 mph? I know on a stock setup with 3.55s you can only get top speed in 5th gear...around 180 or so...any thouhts on this???

you might be able to get to 200mph with the power and the 3.55 gear. No way you'll pull 6th to redline. Even with the 3.55 gear you'd be upwards of 260mph. You'd need at least 1600hp (probably a lot more).
With stock gearing you should be able to get to top of 5th at 200mph

I've been 195 in my roe s/c 8# viper. I've got 3.73 gears though and I still had more to go but objects in front of me were getting very close very quickly!

Unless the 3:55s move you out of the powerband in a weird way, the same top speed as with any other gear. It is the wind you are fighting, not gearing.

You just have to look at the rpm you would be turning in 5th and 6th.

There's a big jump between the two top gears.

Look at your dyno sheet and see if the shift from the top of 5th will put you so far down in hp that the engine wont do the job in 6th.

A stock Viper with stock gears will not shift to 6th and maintain the speed it was going at the top of 5th.

With your sc, perhaps you might. Look at the dyno curve to find out.

Mystic,

How driveable is your Viper with the ROE and the 3:73 gears? Many have suggested stock gearing or 3:55 tops with the ROE or wheelspin becomes too much to deal with. I would love to add the ROE, but dont want to have to change my 3:73 gears at the same time.

Thanks!
