Down Under Snake,
First you need to double check to make sure your push-rod length is correct. Use cylinder # 1 and make sure you are off the cam lobes to insure no valve lift. This will ensure proper environment to measure pushrod length.
:Back out adjustment nut all the way on crower rocker arm
:Turn down 1 to 1 1/2 turns
:Set in place adjustable push rod & expand until snug
:Get correct push rod ( Upgrade to thicker wall / one piece / 220 radius ball preferable )
:Install new push-rods
:Turn down adjustment nut 1/3 to 1/2 turn
:This will seat push rod into hydraulic lifter .010 to .015 thou
:Tighten jamb nut to approximate 25 to 28 FT Lbs if 3/8 thread.
:Turn over engine manually to the next cylinder & repeat
;You may need to re-adjust if necessary
:Time consuming but absolutely necessary process
