$200 to paint that little cowl! That sounds like a Viper Tax to me.

I just called autoform and the "price" NOW is $550.00
for this cowl, painted with stripes. I was all prepared to order one for the $395.00 but it is NO WAY IN HELL I would order one for $550.00. The guy said that it is $450.00 painted then another $100.00 for the stripes.You guys got one hell of a deal...no wonder they are giving 10% off.

When I called and told them I wanted one at the $395.00 price, the guy laughed and said we never sold them for that painted w/stripes. I told him someone just received one for that and he said that the person was mistaken or confused on the price.
Like I said I would buy one for the $395 but NO WAY IN HELL $550

Thanks for the link, I spoke with Jerry and he said that the web site is wrong. It is NOT available in Carbon Fiber, the price is $295.00 unpainted, $100 for color, $100 for stripes and $50 for powder coating the vents black. TOTAL $545.00 I told him the website said no charge for factory colors. He said that was wrong. I guess they will not stand behind the prices on HIS web site
I think I am going to try to do my own cowl. $545 for a piece of fiberglass????
