WARNING -- eBAY FRAUD!!!!!!!!

Everyone,

Please be aware that someone is trying to sell my Viper on eBay. I had tried selling it there but was unsuccessful a couple of weeks back. Now, someone is using my photos and info to try and dupe someone out their hard earned money. They have a new account with (0) feedback. I've contacted the local police and am trying to notify eBay.

Please warn anyone you know that mentions this ad.

I'm impressed, I emailed EBay about the fraud after I saw the post in the General Discussion Forum, and they appear to have promptly addressed it.

For fun, I emailed the seller and asked how long he had owned the car

Thanks to those who tried reporting this to eBay. I also e-mailed them - along with contacting the police to cover my backside.

I just went on there and can't find the car. Hopefully, they'll try to get the guy. I can't believe someone would have the sack to try that. Luckily, someone who had spoken to me about the car a few weeks ago called me figuring it was me. I gotta tell you, I was p'ed off when I saw it.

I'm really sorry for this late reply but I have been very busy lately
and away from a computer. I removed my auction because I had an
agreement with a potential buyer. This person, which i do not know who
it is has no answer to my repetead emails.I do not know what to do. The
car is located in Somerville, MA, in excellent running and body
condition, no flaws on it or any other mechanical problems. It has a
clear title and it will be signed and notorized on your name as soon as
the payment will be completed.
The price is only $18,000 (I need a serious buyer for my car, no more)
including shipping costs anywhere in the continental US. There are no
other costs regarding this transaction.
Regarding the payment I am aware of the buyer's protection and we
will
use Ebay's motors vehicle purchase protection program which will hold
the payment until you receive the car. You'll need to make a deposit
for 25% of the total amount of $18,000.00, which means $4,500 and the
remaining balance of $13,500 after delivery of the car. To complete
payment the buyer must have cash available. By making a deposit you are
not buying the car, is just the way the program works (and in case you
buy the car it will give you a 1 month/1000 miles guarantee). However,
it is 100% refundable if the car is not as described.
