Let's keep it real.... Under $150,000 MSRP.... Concept or Production.... Recent/New designs....

In no order

1.) Shelby GR-1
2.) Ford GT
3.) Porsche GT3
4.) Corvette C6 Z06 (I may change my mind when I see it in Detroit, but the pics looks promising).
5.) The Race Mustang that was shown at SEMA
6.) Viper Competition Coupe or GTS-R
7.) Ultima Kit Car

** BTW - The Viper GTS was at the top of that list from '96 - '02...

onerareviper: Viper GTS-R is not a vehicle for under 150K, infact you can't even drive this on the stree. so this must be taken off your list. A GTS-R is a pure bread race vehicle used in Leman's.

not to be a **** or anything, but just because he can't drive it on the street doesn't mean he can't want one. and the 1998 gts-r (gt2) offered to the public is street legal, correct? To get back on topic, i still have my 1996 blue/white gts with 19" HRE's and a Roe blower at the top of the list. :2tu:

Everybody hold your horses....

1.) The Gen II still makes the top of my list as well, but it is an old design so does not qualify. I still think the Gen II looks better than anything available.

2.) The GTS-R I'm speaking of was the concept car DC showed about three years ago.... It looks similar to the competition coupe. Instant boner - pics below.

Groan. This is the first I've seen of that angle. Yuck. At least shrink the side window and bring the roof line down. Maybe DC is trying to please the 6'8" crowd.

Chuck,

Thats the old concept. The new concept for whatever reason doesn't look as stubby from the side. Not sure about the roof though.

I'm going to with.... in no particular order..

CL55
Porsche GT3
360 Modena
New Viper Coupe

Well...considering they are "new"
the "new" king snake
the "new" factory 5 racing kit car cobra.
and did the research, since they are considered built, you can get financing for them under they year they were built ;)

Thanks for the additional pics... FYI - The Yellow Vette pictured is not a Z06. It is the base C6.

P.S. - Seems like many of us lust after the same cars.

** That Shelby GR-1 is something else... If they keep the specs (600+ V10) and keep the weight down, all for around 80K MSRP, I will HAVE to have one....

Just learnt something new......those Noble ar mean... the M400 trim get up to 425bhp with 390lbs or torque..... all that would not be so amazing if it wasnt rolled up in a 1060kg chassis !!!!!!

Good god.......lots and lots of fun to have in these 'go-karts-wanna-bes'

I'd even love to see one thrown against snakes on an open course of a 1/4 mile strip... I guess for this time I'd bet more on the toy than the Snake :p
