I've recently read a post pertaining to proper part numbers of oil filters.I took my vehicle in for it's first oil change today and the service dept.after initially telling me they had filters said they didn't.They were able to access one with pn5038041AA which they were adamant was the correct filter as determined by inserting my VIN into their centralized computer system.
It was white had a mopar logo on one side and SRT-10 on the other.Could someone please enlighten me as to whether this is the correct#.
I might have believed them if they hadn't only replaced 9 litres of oil, which I noticed on the invoice.Either they left 2 litres of dirty oil in the car or my level, which I'm about to go check,is going to be close to the bottom of the safe range.
