What is the largest front street tire you can run...

I run 315s on a 12.5" wide rim. Some rubbing at full lock. I think some Viper Days racers et. al. have tried 335s with rubbing, but not sure of their conclusions.

Yeah we thought that also, we have 12.5 rims but to run a 315 tire means the only choice are Pirelli Rossa's at $350 a pop, the 335s are on sale for $157. Gonna run the OTC with John Dearing 7 tracks in 7 days

I recall a post about the 315 & 335 on the fronts that make sure you dont roll the car with the hood open.

Ron:

I ran 335's up front on 12.5" x 18" Purner wheels for two seasons with only minor rubbing and only at full lock. Stock wheel wells and the car was lowered 1 1/2". But as the prior post indicated: do not roll car with the hood open as they will drag on that expensive hood.
