I have an opportunity to buy a new MB 04 SL600 with the BiTurbo V12 engine. I will need to trade one of these vehicles. A red GTS 2001 with 2800 miles or a 04 SRT-10, Silver, with 950 miles. Cannot keep both due to space limitations so which one would you keep/trade??

Neither. Just my opinion. Your spending more $$$ and getting less in return. SL's are everywhere and not many know the difference between the 500 and 600 cars except for the real enthusiast. Again, just my opinion, but you are in a very enviable position right where you are.

Fred,
Yes, the SRT handles better and the convertible gives that open air option but, the GTS styling will always catch peoples attention (even many years from now as the Daytona Coupe still does). Also, if you like to track your car once in a while, the GTS is safer "out of the box".
As I also own both of these, I would sell the SRT if I had to let one go (glad I don't). Of course, an SRT Coupe could change what I just said if they do it right. :D

I'm with Gerald - keep the Vipers forget the Merc...

If you are hell bent on the deal though I'd ditch the SRT...

Glad I could help. I can fly out and drive it back if you like.
;)
If you had to choose, I'd keep the GTS, since they don't make 'em anymore.

If you have to sell one, sell the SRT as you can always buy another one. Heck, seems like every 3rd car on ebay is an SRT, while trying to find that perfect RT/GTS will be more difficult.
