who here has installed kn cold air intake?

thinking of installing the k/n air cold air intake.did it fit nicely?is it noiser?what are your feedback on it?

It fit. Little bit noisier. Mine showed 7hp gain on a dyno. Dont have to buy paper elements anymore. For some folks here, installation and results did not go as well.

I installed it on my '05 - fit is not perfect but you can use one-sided sticky tape (1/2-3/4") to seal it on the top and bottom centers.

I just installed green filters on my KNN.

Took me a whooping 4 minutes, maybe less.

If you think KNN's are noisier you must have the hearing of a bat.

i just installed tonight,fit was okay, little tight when top cover went on.at first start up you could hear it breathing louder but when it warmed up not noticable.

I noticed no noise increase - easy install. Also remove air deflector in scoop - 3 phillips screws - piece of cake.

I did not need those magazines of ********** that you sent, along with pics of yourself naked and wearing a santa hat. But it's ok.


I wanted to ask you, have you dynoed these filters as compared to the KNN's?? Because even if the element flows better, they lack the extra filtering surface where they now have chome, and KNN has filter... I saw it and wasn't too sure about them, but oh well...
