    Power Steering Problem

    Had the same issue on my 96 GTS two month ago. It was the pulley on mine also. You described what my car was doing as well.

    Power steering failure

    Ended up being a cracked pulley. Got a new pulley from Jon B. Went to take off the pump in the weekend and ran into a snag. The the hyd. line that goes into the pump will not loosen, broke one wrench already. Sprayed pen. lube, nothing. Any ideas????

    Thanks for all the responces. I am going to take a look at it carefully now again. It is not binding right away when you turn the wheel. Only in certain spots it seems. It may be the pulley engaging and dis-engaging. Thoughts

    96 GTS, car drove fine last night. Went to take it out in the morning. Steering does not want to move, you can force it but very ugly binding. No fluid loss and belt is spinning. I guess the pump failed. ???????

    Thanks for all the responces. My car never runs hot, plus I do not have cats. Like I said in summer if I take it out of the garage and go to work the Ac is fine. Its when the car sits in the sun it wont cool down. Nothing worse than sweating in a nice sports car, reminds me of my 86 911 Turbo...

    I own a 96 GTS. The AC works fine in the winter(Miami), but summer is just brutal. I cant leave the car out in the sun, as it wont cool. I know tints will help but dont really like the look with tints. Has anyone had any luck with upgrading to a bigger condensor or anything else for that...
