Yes, Crutchfield just doesn't have it listed under the Viper because they haven't test fit it yet. It will work with the factory stereo in the Viper, you will just lose any external CD changer if you have one. If you have a CD changer integrated in the head unit it will still work.
USA Spec makes an adapter that plugs into the back of the head unit in the external CD changer port. I have one in mine and it works perfect. I think the part number is PA11-CHR and it was about $130 at Crutchfield.
I'm looking to get a decent set of used autocross wheels and tires. Just seeing if anyone has any that aren't listed in the classifieds that they want to get rid of.
I just installed an iPod adapter in mine this morning. I didn't take off the shift knob or unplug any connectors. I removed all the bolts/screws holding the dash pieces and managed to pry them out of the way enough to get the radio out enough to hook up the iPod adapter.
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Paxton kit and I have a couple questions. Where did you guys get the pillar gauge pods and did you have to paint them? If I get a SCT tuner from DC with the Paxton tune do I still need to run the split second ECU that comes in the Paxton kit?
I checked it and still no sound. I checked the fuse for the amp (in the underhood fuse box) and it is fine. I did check the speakers and they are getting power with the stereo on but no sound.
It was off for probably 15 minutes of driving. I let it set for about 10 minutes and tried it again with no luck. Maybe it's the amp? I read about the body control module going out but everything else on my car works except no sound from the stereo. I'll check it again in a little bit and...
Alright, not sure if the two are related but I replaced the battery today. I drove it a few miles and everything worked fine. I was out cruising on the highway and all of a sudden the sound from the stereo stopped. The stereo is still on and acts like it's playing. When I turn the stereo off...
I thought of a great way to settle the debate of Paxton vs Roe. All that I need is a donated Roe Supercharger kit and a donated Paxton. I've got easy access to a great mechanic and a dyno. I'll compare my car stock, with the Paxton, and with the Roe and make a few dyno pulls with each and a...
I think I'm going to try out that fix first as it seems that it is leaking around the bolt. It's not much oil either. So far it hasn't even left a drop in the drip tray under it. I only noticed it because I was checking out the oil filter and happened to see that the bolt was wet.
Mine's a gen III, I've got a lift and was going to change the oil next weekend. I figured if it wasn't too bad I'd go ahead and swap out the gasket too.
Well, I took the Viper out for a drive yesterday and when I got it up on my lift I noticed that the drivers side rear corner of the oil pan has just a tiny smear of oil that ran from the rear bolt. The bolt head is also wet. Anybody know what a dealer charges to replace an oil pan gasket? How...
