Drivers Mat Won't Stay Put, What To Do?

I had this problem too, it bunched up under the pedals on me. Checked the clip and the mat had popped off of it--I'm not sure if I just didn't push the mat down hard enough or what. I secured it again, making sure the mat was securely clipped in, and made sure the clip was firmly in the carpet...

    2005 Vipers.

2002 owner's manual shows a 3/36,000 limited warranty, and "Federal Emission Warranty - Specified Parts" at 8/80,000 (7/70,000 for you left-coasters in California).

    What is the weirdest/coolest/craziest story

A couple months ago, a friend-of-a-friend and I are in the car, looking for a spot in a parking garage when two sorority girls walk by. One of them looks at the car, then gives us the skankiest look imaginable and licks her lips very slowly. My friend looks at me and says, "That does it. I'm...

    More VIPER vandalism

Wait, are you really a professor? Which school? Here I thought I was the only academic with a Viper:omg: Really sorry to hear about the window. You would think people would have more respect for others' belongings, let alone when that belonging is a Viper. I think it comes down to a lack...

Incandescent-free for one day so far...

Bottlefed, those dash lights look great. Did you replace them all with 194/168 LEDs? The owner's manual says the dash takes 194, 161, and 103 bulbs, but I've found some online fitment guides that say all three-digit wedge-base bulbs are interchangeable, limited only by the size of the housing...

Incandescent-free for one day so far...

So, I finally got around to finishing my replacement of all bulbs (except dash lights) with LEDs (because I'm so Euro-trashy...). I did run into some fitment issues with a few of the bulbs, most notably the dome lights and front side markers, so I thought I'd post what I used here in case...

    JMB intake installed

So, I splurged on my birthday present to myself this year and bought a custom-painted intake from JMB Performance. Installation couldn't have been simpler, the front of the engine bay looks great, and my wallet is a little thinner now...but I would do it again in a heartbeat...

    Lunch with JonB – PartsRack

Amen! I ordered new pads and a battery tender from Jon last week (my first order from Partsrack), and he threw in a freebie--Maisto 1/24 model in the same colors as my car. Very nice guy.

    Insurance

Second vote for Geico--despite their annoying commercials, they're a decent company. I pay just under $700/year on my Viper, including comprehensive, with the multi-car discount and clean driving record...

    Streetracing....why?

I agree with all of the above (I'm 27 too--not everyone who's young is stupid). The way I figure it, I'm the one in a Viper, so I really have nothing to prove. If the guy driving the modded Eclpise wants to prove he has cojones by taking on the snake, he can do it on my terms--autocross...

    HID headlight/LED parking install

You did the high beams too? Were you able to find 9011 HID bulbs, or did you use 9005? And here are the pics. Sorry, I was in a hurry so they're not too good, but at least you get the idea. I've included one of the old halogens for comparison.

    HID headlight/LED parking install

Just finished installing HID lights in both low beams and foglights on my '02 GTS. I searched the VCA forums before I started, and encountered many threads that advised changing the polarity of the wires leading to the bulbs if they won't light. Well, when I installed the kit for the lowbeams...

    Russ Oasis in Nov C&D

I could be reading into it, but it seems the editors at C/D are interested in testing new or revised cars in the annual Lightning Lap--hence, the Cobalt SS (now with a turbo instead of supercharger), Corvette (revised engine and transmission), ACR (new for 08), CTS-V (ditto), etc. and, failing...

OK, I'm a professional organist and have worked for several churches, but I've never heard of a pastor cool enough to own one--let alone two--Vipers!
