Is the rubber gasket supposed to be glued to the glass in the rea window of an RT/10? If so, what type of adhesive is/can be used? My rubber pulls right off the glass, which is annoying.
Thanks
I'm in the process of upgrading the stereo system in my Gen ! RT/10. Part of my install includes replacing the 2 factory amps with a more powerful 4-channel amp. Now, I need to run new speaker wire and RCAs from the trunk to the stereo in the dash. I need some help finding where I can run...
Thanks for the feedback, so far.
1. I'm 6'4", so headroom is a must. I've lowered the seats and don't want to take a step backwards with the lower height of the "trunk top". I like the idea of that top, but also think that it's a little flat looking from the side (IMHO).
2. The autoform...
Im thinking about purchasing a Mopar hardtop for my 94 RT/10 and have a few questions before I pull the trigger.
1. Does the hardtop give any more head clearance than the factory soft top?
2. I was told by the seller that the cushion pad must be removed to install the hardtop. Do all brands...
I'm planning on going to Viperdays at Mid-Ohio this spring and have been getting together a list of what I will need for the event. I spoke with there tech inspector, Tom Sessions, yesterday and found out that the EBC green brake pads that I was going to put on my car tihs winter are not...
This spring will begin my 2nd season as a Viper owner, and I can't wait!
I figured why not start it off right with a trip to Mid-Ohio for the Viperdays performance driving school. I've read some of posts for track events, and it seems that changing the brake fluid is the most common...
Can anyone tell me the difference between the MIchelin Pilot Sports and PS2s? I'm planning on getting new tires this spring and am doing some research on what to get. I've looked on Michelin's web site, but cannot find a clear answer on the difference between these two. The PS2 is a little...
I did mine for the first time this summer. Yes, you must remove the cowl to reach the 2 distributors. It was a little painful for some of the wires, but I got it done. At times, I think it would have been easier if the intake manifold was removed.
Patience is what is required the most.
Not sure what's in a 2000 GTS, but I'm in the process of upgrading the entire system in my 94 RT/10. Here's what I've chosen:
Alpine CDA-9856
JL Audio 6W0's in the rear
JL Audio XR 650-Csi components up front
and a JL Audio 300/4 amplifier powering the whole thing.
I used to tinker in car...
I'm thinking of getting a G-meter to meaure 0-60, etc. My friend has an Escort G-Timer which seems to work fine. I was also looking at the GTech model and wondered if anyone knows if one is bettter than the other?
I've not yet bled my brake fluid, but would like to. What equipment do you use to bleed the brakes? I've read about both pressure bleeders and vacuum bleeders, but would like to know which is preferred. Also, is there a brand or adaptor that is Viper friendly?
Thanks
I changed my oil this past weekend in preparation for winter storage. Today, I noticed a small oil leak and after further investigation discovered a crack in the oil pan at the drain plug. I torqued the plug to 25 ft-lbs (am 100% certain). Could this crack be caused by something else?
Now I...
I changed all the fluids with a fellow Viper Club member shortly after purchasing the car in the spring. We replaced the transmission fluid with Mopar fluid from the dealer (per the service manual).
It sounds like some roughness is expected when cold? I suppose I'll pay attention in the...
I've got a question for the mechanical experts out there. I've got a 94 RT/10 with 23,000 miles. I've owned it since April '06, and put about 4,000 miles of my own this season. Lately, shifting feels a little rough. There isn't any grinding noise, but it feels a little rough when shifting...
I bought my 94 RT/10 in April of this year and my friend bought an 06 C6 3 days later. We've both spent the summer familiarizing ourselves with the joys of 400hp. We've taken our cars to the dragstrip 3 times this summer and probably raced a total of 9-12 times. I've beat him everytime except...
Now I'm a bit confused? Got the battery tender info covered, but now there are a bunch of different opinions on "winterizing" the engine.
I'll be storing it in a garage thhat is NOT climate-controlled. Is fogging oil necessary or even recommended? I've never really heard of that for...
I'm going to be putting my car away for the winter in about a month. :( I'm going to do the following...am I missing anything?
1. Full tank of gas with sta-bil
2. Lift on jack stands and remove wheels
3. Battery tender (need some advice on this one) Any recommendations on brand? Also...
I'd like to figure out how much tread I have left on my pilots. What is the depth of the tire tread for new tires and at what depth should they be replaced?
Thanks
