So as I am about ready to drive to Charlotte you bring this up? I know my stainless steel lines sure do help me stop better than the old lines did. Maybe if I throw my old lines in the trunk I'll still be legal?
For those interested in a leisurely route - read slower and scenic and non-interstate, Todd Sickler and I are going over Thursday on Highway 64/74. We can meet anyone who wants to go this route. It won't be the Dragon but there are some pretty nice roads along the way. You can contact Todd at...
Do yourself a favor. Buy the Tail of the Dragon t-shirt, skip the Tail, and enjoy the Skyway. It is beautiful and worth every mile. The Dragon, in a Viper, not so much.
Gee, when I read the review I thought they said "better than the old car but still lacking..." Most of these car magazines just don't get American cars and Automobile is no different. They would be upset if folks were handing out free lunches and $100 bills.
Your picture tells the story. To many of us, the Gen3-4 cars look better. I think the Gen 2 cars front end looks better too. Maybe when I see one in up close. I know I'll like the interior though.
You may have made up your mind but I really like my Autoform top. Fits great, is quiet, and has more headroom than the stock top. Oh, and did I mention how cool it is over the stock convertible top? Much cooler!
I'm with you. The HPDE events are worth the money at the current price but not double. I can't imagine the real race guys and time trialers would pay double either. NARRA certainly goes to world class tracks now and you can attend at a reasonable price. Now if they ever could rent the SPA...
Well it could be well played sarcasm or it could be "can you count the number of garage queens out there" reality check. Who cares why other people buy things anyway?
Re: GenV design feature that I'm getting tired seeing copied in vehicle designs latel
You don't like the sidemarker lights but those ugly LED headlight surrounds are OK? Talk about Audi ugly!
Woodhouse or any of the many vendors on this site can get you set up. I have a Unitrax 3.55 late model style in my '03. If your housing is not damaged it can rebuilt for much less than you have been quoted. Probably a good 4WD shop can do it but buy GOOD gears made in the US not some junk.
Of course you'll think this is crazy but it happens on Dodge Grand Caravans pretty regularly if the tensioner is not replaced. The tensioner freezes and then breaks the bolt off or spits the belt off the pulley. I used to replace the tensioner as a matter of course when I serviced Caravans...
NASA, SCCA, and NARRA are all requiring full face helmets now but HPDE might let you run once with open face. I got a combination open face and full face - no visor. Maybe not the safest choice but I wear glasses.
I'd like to see some tests. In all the tests I have seen, very few brands exceed or come close to Mobil 1 blends for our cars. Pennzoil seems to be coming late to the game with high performance synthetics and I bet you can stick with Mobil 1 and be fine. Amsoil also makes a variety of...
I have used Lucas power steering stop leak with some success. If you have changed the fluid in your steering rack and pump, you might try that first (if you are sure it is in the rack and not a hose) and add the Lucas stuff at that time. It is thick and I would recommend adding it to clean...
For those of you coming from the West... I had some unexpected surgery that won't allow me to drive or travel so I won't be meeting anyone. The most scenic route is Highway 30 out of McMinnville. Goes over some really twisty backroads through Pikeville and all the way to the turn off at...
