If you're looking for mid bass a 30W 6.5" surely can do that. If you want lower bass the 8" can do it easier. Have you ever seen a 4" subwoofer? It's possible, just depends on how much excursion you want to build into it.
Maybe you need to have someone tune it. With any decent speaker you can properly tune it to sound great. Most speakers are capable of producing good sound it's just the EQ is not right. I've heard systems that sound awesome with cheap paper cone drivers.
You won't be able to install them into the trim panels unless you make a custom panel. If you put it in the trunk you will have to make a custom box. And if you do that you're better off with a 10" or bigger sub.
Why do you want a 8" midrange speaker? A 6.5" will cover the mid range...
Unfortunately the speaker size specs are not standardized. The term 6.5" speaker is used loosely. It actually means "around 6.5"". The industry has never set hard rules specifying dimensions, hole sizes, hole locations etc. So the term is used very loosely.
The shop was correct in saying...
Be very careful of relocating the air bag sensor. If this is the piezoelectric type that I suspect then it's what triggers the airbag and there was a LOT of development that went into mounting it. Very complex algorithms were written that calculate when to deploy based on impact deflections...
Wait a second... if you got an aftermarket amp you don't need the stock amp any more. Is it a 4 or 5 channel amp? You just need to wire the amp outputs into the stock speaker wiring and the preamp outputs from the head unit into the amp and you're done.
For emergency repairs you could always get one of those corrugated universal hoses at Pep Boys or Autozone. I had one on for about 3 weeks before I replaced it with a silicone one.
Hey, I have one and it's really useful. How well can you see out the back of your car?
Hirko, I think you need to find the reverse light wire. Either a reverse light or sensor on the shifter will do. You just need to tap into the positive side and it will trigger the camera to turn on. I...
If that's the degree that you go to, I wonder how many miles do you have on your car? If the car is high mileage and you put back OE parts I can't believe it would make much difference.
I don't plan on selling my car so I just drive it and replace whatever consumable parts it needs and go...
This has been discussed many times before. If you just want to change the head unit you need a DIN adapter from the stock wiring to the aftermarket unit. Other than that there's nothing else you need. If you change the amp at the same time you will need to run new wires.
Yup, I saw that. Unfortunately no matter what kind of car you drive it all comes down to the guy behind the wheel. If you're an idiot even the best car in the world can't help you.......:rolaugh:
Goldberg is pretty corny but the chicks are hot. I still think the best car to do the show would be a modded Evo or WRX. Something small, light, AWD with good gas mileage and power when needed.
Those Lambo guys are idiots. They're going to get ganged up against as soon as someone gets the chance. With those fake immunity cards and taking down signs any team that has the position to throw them into a challenge is going to do it. I can see that Lambo spinning around in the mud soon.
That's a good indicator. If you close the door with the rear hatch unlatched but just resting on the bottom you will notice that it pops up when the door closes. Now imagine if both air bags deploy in a few milliseconds how much pressure is produced.
