    So it runs great after you disconnect the battery for awhile then comes back? That can't be a fuel issue then. It's back to electrical. Just to eliminate one factor swap out the battery.

    It doesn't have to be air tight to restrict flow. If you drive with your windows open a lot I would try to avoid blocking them. It may lead to loose hatch hinges later or worse. Otherwise it's your choice if you're willing to take the risks. Also keep in mind bass resonance or cancellation...

    If it has not thrown any codes I would lean more toward the fuel system. Sounds like an injector issue.

    The hood doesn't look like it's closed completely. That's not the actual gap. I didn't see a price. It does look really clean and matches the low mileage. Wonder what the engine looks like.

    There's always the debate about blocking vents and replacing spare tires. I'm sure it's been discussed before. I just went with a JL 10W7 in an enclosure in the tire well.

    If you're looking to do a sub go with the JL 10W7. They go down really low are very efficient and sound great.

    Have you done a leak down yet? As it was mentioned by a few others the first thing you should do is a leak down test. That way you have a baseline before you ship it off to anyone. My money is on the rings as well. PM me if you like the name of my engine builder. He's worked on Viper...

    Are you looking for one to use on a Motorcycle? If it's for your car you should get one rated M for cars. They have better fire resistance than motorcycle helmets.

    If I had to do it over again I'd go with the dual in tank set up from RSI. It's a cleaner install and limited noise although I do like to be able to hear my pump working.

    More specifically from a Contour/Mystique. Two gang Window lift switches were from a K-car. The two single switches were from the corporate parts bin such as the passenger side minivan.

    Alpine has lost a lot of their glamour. Since they started out in Lambos they were perceived as top of the line. Lately their quality and durability has diminished severely.

    Yeah, that's the weakness of pop out screens. It's clear that the trend is towards double DIN but it's just not worth cutting things up IMO.

    Yeah, that's exactly why I went with a single DIN and pop out screen. Although there are more choices out there with Double DIN I didn't want to do any cutting if I didn't have to.
