    Broken fan - What Now

After re-reading the flow path from Post #44, and your comment about having installed a new pump, I would think you are likely to have a flow restriction issue at the fan module. It would appear the first duty of this system is to keep the engine from overheating. The second is to provide...

    Broken fan - What Now

In addition to the pump flow control valve, the G3 fan has a thermostatically controlled valve. The dual hydraulic circuits are more complex in operation and have a different demand curve for pressure and flow. Does your steering seem to function correctly and the problems are mostly with the...

Looking for the original owner of my 2009 ACR

They weren't optimal, but they stuck great. Later, I learned what pressures and alignments they worked best with.

Looking for the original owner of my 2009 ACR

Not so crazy. I was running 315-17's at the track on my 93 RT back in 1995.

What did you do to your Viper today?

Over the past several weeks, I've changed my old 17" CCW Classics to 18" with new (used) lips and barrels. These are the 30 bolt modulars which use 5/16" or 8mm fastener hardwear. 2 of the faces were going to require a lot of polishing even to get them to track quality, so I opted to put them...

Alright... come on now with the ridiculous word censoring!

It is terrible, as predicted by most. There are several subforums that haven't had a new post in 5 months, or more. The most lively ones see 3-4 posts every couple weeks to a month. People are still re-living NVE and talking up the latest VQ issue. The only reason I re-upped for the minimum is...

What did you do to your Viper today?

Do you have any information on that you can share? I would love to eventually get involved doing track days. I have done the longhorn race experience at COTA which was ok but I am sure it is a completely different experience using your own car. Next event is March 1-2 https://www.edgeaddicts.com/

Agreed. Although it may make it a little easier if the PS cover is off.

What did you do to your Viper today?

I gave you all the info you should need to mark your stick correctly. I can't do it for you. If the tube mounts into a boss on the lower block rail, there are only 2 tubes to use. There are only 2 sticks to use each matches either the long or short tube. The FULL level in either the 8, or 10...

    Weight of 1996 5-spoke wheels?

I have a set of painted 5-spoke RT wheels, but they have track tires on them. I bet paint doesn't add but an ounce or two at most.

    Weight of 1996 5-spoke wheels?

I checked some of my polished, cast&welded 5 spoke 17s today. Bare, with rubber valve stems only: 17x13=25#, 17x10=20#. I just assembled a set of 18x12.5 CCW Classics. One of them weighs 23# with 1.5# of fastener hardware - 30 pcs.

Anyone have a Rad laying around?

I'm going to have a new 3-row brass core installed between my stock tanks next week. I expect to be on track in Feb.

What did you do to your Viper today?

I am signed up for Chin in Feb. It will be the first time I've run with them, but many friends have and Chin does tracks all over the country. I've only run with Edge Addicts before - 4x at COTA. They run a pretty tight schedule with 5 runs per group per day. They try to get 25min sessions. They...

    Belanger header and motor mounts

There's a difference between running a car at the track, and running it HARD. With headers, I automatically call that HARD use and you should equip it to protect everything near the pipes from extreme radiant heat. I've seen a lot of melted plastic & wires and overheated fluid issues in Vipers...

    Belanger header and motor mounts

Was it the OE Shield or header wrap? the early Gen 2's when run hard at the track were radiating heat off cyl. #1. So much that it rapidly aged the PS hose and led to failures, sometimes combined with unabated flames. The '98+ cars had an extra extension fold on the shield to mitigate that problem.

    Viper Tech in Austin Texas

The engine uses Chrysler family architecture on the ECM. The V-10 is a V-8 with 2 more cylinders hung on one end. It's a double-wishbone suspension at both ends, which is the same configuration as the Challenger and Charger. They are nothing to be afraid of, but you would do well to own a...

    Viper Tech in Austin Texas

The Viper is just a Dodge, with all systems designed, engineered, manufactured, installed and serviced just like any other Dodge vehicle. The Gen 1 and Gen 2 cars were all, literally, as easy to figure out as a base model stripper RAM pickup.
