I have a set of 17" PS2's that have good tread depth. I've street driven them over the last 5 years. I also make a practice of doing 1-2 sessions at track days on street tires so I know where their limits are. I have no idea what your purpose is with them, or whether a tire shop will mount them...
FYI - every time you kill power to the ECU, it will wipe your long-term fuel adaptive blocks. It may also wipe your IAC (Idle Air Controller) stepper motor calibrations. That's why most folks will connect a battery tender.
Me? I've never done either. In Texas, I'll let my car sit in the garage...
Koni ACR shocks leak less than the Dynamics that superseded them in mid-'00. As a matter of fact, I'm having a set freshened just up the road, dropping off tomorrow. I've not had any particular trouble finding 18's for my Viper, and even 17's are available if you know where to shop.
On most...
My car developed a high tank pressure issue. Turns out the purge solenoid was packed with carbon granules from the canister under the headlamp. That's unlikely on the 00+ with the canister behind the passenger rear.
He was looking for Unitrax half shafts in a hurry for the build. He was trying to talk me into pulling the ones out of my racecar for his deal - said he would even ship his stockers to me plus cash. Glad i didn't bite on that deal. What a waste.
There was a very good thread about the gauge and sender from years back. One of the two, or possibly the combination are very heavily dampened. That makes for a slow response time to critical fluctuations in pressure readings.
This thread could use resurrection and more input, so I'll start with my perspective:
I've experienced "door sag" on my GTS. I removed the interior panel and adjusted the hinge and striker to where the gaps are absolutely PERFECT and the gasket bulb tension is PERFECT. The doors will 'pop' at...
I can't say whether those are normal readings on the coil packs, but remember - one pole of each coil has a different spark energy because of a longer ground path than the other and that imbalance follows the firing order, not top or bottom of the coil. I think Dan Lesser put together a nice...
Between the 335x35-17 and 335x30-18 stock rear tires, the primary difference is the Aspect Ratio, (sidewall height). The actual tread being formed in an otherwise identical outer mold.
As far as the speedo/odo go, Tire Diameter is the easiest measure to calculate how many feet are traveled per...
There was a time when hoods were $10k and pads were around $400. New.
AFIK, current market for decent hoods is $3-4.5k depending on completeness, damage and color.
I believe you will find the Engine S/N on the side of the block above the pan rail below the #2 and #4 spark plugs. The car's full VIN should be on the same side, but vertically stamped on the rear bellhousing flange. Unless the engine was replaced at some point, it should match the windscreen...
All the panels were painted off-line. Panels for striping were set on fixtures and a set of laser beams were cast onto the compound curved bodywork parallel to the center line. Front/rear fascias, hood, roof and trunk panels. Workers carefully laid masking tapes along the laser lines so that...
