What did you do to your viper today?

Which gearing is the best all around…3:55 or 3:73 (1997 GTS)
I have 19x13” rear wheels (2017 Viper wheels) with 355/30 tires on my car now….I never thought about how the 19” wheels would affect the gearing. They are 2” bigger than the stock 17” wheels.- yzf1999

Low mileage cars and 'fixing' issue
The good thing about your car is at just 4k miles you can actually drive the car and not kill its value…I bought my 97 GTS with 16k miles and put 850 miles on it this summer. Floor Mats
It was the factory plastic covering the carpet in the floor board area when they first built the car new for delivery to the dealership. They don’t use the floor matts until the car is sold new and the customer installs them. Apparently in my cars case it was never removed.- yzf1999

Which gearing is the best all around…3:55 or 3:73 (1997 GTS)
I’m planning on changing the stock gearing on my 1997 GTS….my 2019 392 Challenger with a manual transmission (6 speed tremic) and 3:90 gears was an absolute animal, it ripped. Value Opinion? 2001 GTS (Rebuilt Title), 13000 miles
Usually cars are totaled because of frame damage, but with the Gen 1 and 2 vipers (especially the GTS) parts are very scarce and expensive, so totaling from and accident doesn’t have to involve frame damage. I agree the car will always be worth less, but 40% for a low mileage GTS seems...- yzf1999

Being low mileage helps a lot with a rebuild title IMO…I’d guess 20% hit on value compared to a comparable 2001 GTS under 15k miles.- yzf1999

How do I get a feel for a Viper before I commit to buying?
I bought my 97 GTS without even physically seeing it (pictures only)…never even sat in one let alone driving one. But I knew I had to have one and it is EXACTLY what I imagined. Love the car.- yzf1999

When taking off your old and installing your new coil overs make sure you have both tires off the off the ground when doing the fronts and rears. This way the sway bar won’t put uneven pressure on the side you’re working on. Take both off first then install both. A small jack will help raise the...- yzf1999
