    What did you do to your viper today?

    Got the BC coil overs installed…easy install, going to drive it for awhile to let them settle before I adjust the final height and get it aligned. Also changed out the stock radio for a modern one with apple carplay. I’ll get some picks soon.

    Soon as I saw him standing on his Vipers hood I instantly lost all respect for him…and cutting a big hole in a perfectly good hood sealed the deal for me. He has no respect for the car and he is just another ******* YouTuber that will do anything for money (views) and attention.

    I agree the Facebook viper groups would be your best shot for a trade…someone with a R/T 10 might trade, but I can’t see a GTS trading. Never hurts to ask tho.

    Negative battery cable disconnect

    Just pull the interior light fuse in the fuse panel…this will kill power to the radio. I did this when I aligned my doors so the interior lights wouldn’t drain the battery.     Thermostat replacement recommendation for 1996 GTS

    I changed my upper and lower radiator hoses..someone here on the fourm suggested to get a fill kit (funnel like kit), anyway that made getting the air out super easy. It took 4 gallons of antifreeze pretty quickly and the temp gauge is always within specs with the manual.

    No I knew the guy I bought it from added the stripes. In fact I almost had him remove them before I took delivery, but my wife talked me out of it and now I’m glad she did. Stripes are a must on this car.

    The stripes on the gen 2 viper are vinyl from the factory….so adding them after the fact is no big deal IMO.

    Unfortunately a car with that low of miles cannot be driven because all the value is in its ultra low mileage….which is a shame because it will always be a museum piece.

    I bet you could fill the hole..sand smooth and repaint to a factory finish. If your not comfortable doing it I bet Havik Performance could do it “they advertise refinishing the 96-97 dash”. I’m going to send them my 97’s dash form them to refinish.

    I went to Advance Auto and got a scan tool…it was the air box temp sensor. I cleared it and all is good now. Note to self..Don’t start the car with the air box out.

    I do and it says 16 qts. (4 gallons)…seems a bit high to me. Was wondering if someone changed theirs and could tell me how much they used.
