Got the BC coil overs installed…easy install, going to drive it for awhile to let them settle before I adjust the final height and get it aligned. Also changed out the stock radio for a modern one with apple carplay. I’ll get some picks soon.
Soon as I saw him standing on his Vipers hood I instantly lost all respect for him…and cutting a big hole in a perfectly good hood sealed the deal for me. He has no respect for the car and he is just another ******* YouTuber that will do anything for money (views) and attention.
I agree the Facebook viper groups would be your best shot for a trade…someone with a R/T 10 might trade, but I can’t see a GTS trading. Never hurts to ask tho.
My gearing is stock, but my wheels are upgraded to a 18 front and 19 rear..my car is a 97 GTS which would have came with 17’s from the factory. I’m guessing my Speedometer is reading a little slower than what the car is actually going…I don’t mind my mileage racking up a little slower, but...
Just pull the interior light fuse in the fuse panel…this will kill power to the radio. I did this when I aligned my doors so the interior lights wouldn’t drain the battery. When I finished and put the fuse back in the radio station presets had to be reconfigured, so the fuse must of cut power to...
I changed my upper and lower radiator hoses..someone here on the fourm suggested to get a fill kit (funnel like kit), anyway that made getting the air out super easy. It took 4 gallons of antifreeze pretty quickly and the temp gauge is always within specs with the manual.
No I knew the guy I bought it from added the stripes. In fact I almost had him remove them before I took delivery, but my wife talked me out of it and now I’m glad she did. Stripes are a must on this car.
Unfortunately a car with that low of miles cannot be driven because all the value is in its ultra low mileage….which is a shame because it will always be a museum piece.
I bet you could fill the hole..sand smooth and repaint to a factory finish. If your not comfortable doing it I bet Havik Performance could do it “they advertise refinishing the 96-97 dash”.
I’m going to send them my 97’s dash form them to refinish.
Thought it might be fun to start a thread sharing what we’re doing to our beloved Vipers
Today I installed a skip shift eliminator and cleaned the under carriage a bit. Couple days ago I installed a new OEM power steering pump with a new OEM reservoir..also a new high pressure hose. I’ll tell...
I went to Advance Auto and got a scan tool…it was the air box temp sensor. I cleared it and all is good now. Note to self..Don’t start the car with the air box out.
Hi guys..I got a question for ya. I just replaced my power steering pump and high pressure line. I sprayed some carb cleaner down on the rack area to clean up the oil mess. Then I filled up the power steering reservoir…I left the air box off and fired up the car to see if I had leaks. That’s...
Thank you…yeah it’s clean, but has some paint flaws. I plan having this car for the rest of my days, so slowly but surely I’m going to correct its flaws till I get it to as new of an example as a driver Viper can be. With 16k miles I can put on a thousand miles a year or more and it will still...
