Thought it might be fun to start a thread sharing what we’re doing to our beloved Vipers
Today I installed a skip shift eliminator and cleaned the under carriage a bit. Couple days ago I installed a new OEM power steering pump with a new OEM reservoir..also a new high pressure hose. I’ll tell you what the Quickjack 5000TL is a must have for these old cars..

I’m trying to find air box screws for my gen 1, they are all missing! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After 24 years, the gas filler pipe n ipp le is starting to separate from the gas tank. The pipe n ipp le is glued onto the outside of the tank. It has a big flange of sorts right where it glues to the outside of the tank. Oddly, the filler neck enters the tank half-way down the height of the tank, on the tank's side. So with anything over half a tank, the gas starts leaking from where the n ipp le is glued to the outside of the tank. No new gas tanks are available, and any used tanks are also about the same age and have or will have the same problem. So I'm researching the best glues for HDPE plastics, and gasoline rated sealants. Gonna try and re-glue the n ipp le to the tank. Worst ca$e, is to have a new tank made.

Vic- I see in your sig that you did a lightweight flywheel. Was that a noticeable difference? Been thinking of doing the same.

Saturday, I cleaned the transmission tunnel and rear subframe/diff/seatback partition area on the lift. The engine is out for a hone and rings and the trans came out with it. Some nights this week, I'll detail the engine compartment and suspension links. Rear shocks are coming out for new shaft seals, inspection and fresh oil.

Hmmm, well not so much today, but last week. BC coil overs, fluid changes and alignment. All to go to Tennessee for Dragon and other roads. So far, other then it being a bit to low, freaking loving it! First time I've been able to push it a bit and damn, if they don't have some grip!!

Turned the key, drove around town, got to floor it a couple of times, parked her back in her spot in the shed.
It's not every day that running errands around town gives me that big a smile!

I have run them on my current and last Vipers, stock cream puff, stock forged & heads/cam forged, highly recommend. Car is much more responsive and runs through the powerband quicker because it drops weight by 19lbs. Shoot me a message for more info.

There's quite a bit less rotating mass, and yes, I think it made a big difference. It revs up faster.

If you drive a lot in traffic, especially freeway stop 'n go, you'll be better off with the heavier wheel. The light one is more prone to bucking - for sure with a 708, or hotter cam.

Tried quoting the QuickJack images from above but found it WAY TOO DIFFICULT.
Here's one of mine. Life without my QuickJack would be sad.

Mine spent this past Saturday at the car show at Powerland Heritage Park, just north of Salem, a show to benefit to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
I wish more Viper owners would bring their cars to the shows. It's very rare to see others and mine gets a lot of attention.

I installed my injectors which were cleaned and restored by Injector RX in Texas. Installed my Intake and supporting items. Oil Change, new filter. Took it out for a 2 hour shake down run after not driving in for several months.

Here is the before and after reports on the injectors. OEM Injectors with 38k miles.

Finished my project to add extension flaps to the convertible top.

I wanted a sleeker coupe like profile while maintaining the convenience of a convertible. It’s held on by some straps that I can quickly disconnect from the trunk hooks. Fold the top down and tuck the flaps in and done.

100% reversible as nothing is sewn in and the hooks are just painted command hooks lol

Took off the stock shocks and waiting for my BC coilovers to arrive…good time to clean the suspension area.

Got the BC coil overs installed…easy install, going to drive it for awhile to let them settle before I adjust the final height and get it aligned. Also changed out the stock radio for a modern one with apple carplay. I’ll get some picks soon.

New RT10 owner. Refinished lips on the new (old) CCWs, had some Contis installed and fresh wash. BC coilovers next!

CCW Classics - 18x11 and 18x13
Continental Extreme Contact - 315/30r18 and 335/30r18

Need to spend some more time on the wheels.

When taking off your old and installing your new coil overs make sure you have both tires off the off the ground when doing the fronts and rears. This way the sway bar won’t put uneven pressure on the side you’re working on. Take both off first then install both. A small jack will help raise the A arms a little when you’re installing the BC’s cuz they are shorter than the stock ones. Easy install IMO.
