Why did ACRs never have special engines?
Every year Viper had the same motor for that year regardless of series, coupe,convertible, ACR etc. Yes the G2 ACR's have smooth tubes and better filters that provide 10hp. stand alone ecu for gen 4 acrx
Marc, I thought about going to a Motec for my Comp Coupe when I converted my sequential to paddles but didn’t. They require tons of mapping from someone knowledgeable. Talk to Calvo, they install stand alone’s in their big HP builds- redtanrt10

Which gearing is the best all around…3:55 or 3:73 (1997 GTS)

Sorry I didn't look close, I saw G3’s There a website, redbubble that shows a G2 sticker (with background) for only $5.00. Take a look, seems correct. See if they can make a no backing version in the color you want Google; redbubble classic acr decal- redtanrt10

New owner of 2002 ACR
Congrats on your purchase! Those heads, cam and headers should add about a 100 to 125 hp. GG is arguably the best viper head porter. I'd guess your around 600hp at the flywheel, 525 rwhp. Vipers don't shift like a Honda, especially Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions. Short throw kit reduces travel...- redtanrt10

Todd will do a good job for you! Most of the guys I know have G3-5’s. I’d offer you a drive but have a G1 but not the same as a G2 coupe. I have a comp coupe too but the front splitter won’t last a 1/4 mile around here. Reach out to Todd. He might be able to get you a test ride, and/or know...- redtanrt10

Good luck to you. A $90k budget will get you a great G2 coupe! Find one with good service records The newest G2’s are now 22 years old and rubber dries out and other items can wear out ABS or not, G2 brakes are very mediocre compared to modern brakes.
