Sal's Viper Crash @ MIR World Cup

We got the car into Drummond's shop yesterday and put it up on jack stands to check the driveline. Everything in the driveline is still intact and nothing is broken. I have a custom Ford 9" IRS setup from Driveshaft Shop/Drummond Race Cars with a spool so we had our doubts of driveline...

Sal's Viper Crash @ MIR World Cup

I am honestly overwhelmed in a positive way with the numerous messages and support I've received in the last couple of days. I am incredibly blessed to have friends such as yourselves in my life. I am completely fine. My wrist was slightly sore but hardly worth talking about. Other than that I...

They were taken by Chris Simmons Photography at the WCF event. He said it is acceptable to download for personal use, but not for any type of commercial use or advertising without his consent. I ordered 16x20 Posters from him for my garage wall. If you're interested in a hi-res Posters of...

Any one using a Pro EFI cpu?

I forgot to mention the extensive Environmental Testing that has been conducted on the ProEFI ECU, which is similar to most OEM testing conditions. Here is the website for ProEFI: http://www.proefi.com/

Any one using a Pro EFI cpu?

As Dave has stated, I have been running the ProEFI 128 ECU for about a year now on my Gen II GTS and it is one of the best systems I have used. I handle 100% of the electronics and tuning on my Viper and periodically assist Drummond Race Cars in tuning their Promod, Outlaw, and Street/Strip cars...

    7.11 at 201mph, yikes!

With my old engine/turbo setup which pretty much topped out at 7.50's@190mph, the setup was fairly bullet proof and I probably put around 80 passes on the car 1/8 and 1/4 combined with basic maintenance of oil, spark plugs, and trans fluid. With the new setup, majority of the issues have been...

    7.11 at 201mph, yikes!

I'm not sure about the whole Texas thing, but the beer part sounds good! :D As for power, I don't spend much time on dynos. If I had to guess based on some crude math, I would say on the 201mph pass factoring loss through torque converter we were making an average of 2500hp flywheel keeping in...

    7.11 at 201mph, yikes!

On that run it was a 1.22 60'. I have been a best of 1.19 60' but the car wheelied 100' out and I had to abort the run. There's enough power left on the table to easily run 6's and it's coming. I have a few more things to review and sort out before I can go for that 6 second pass.

    7.11 at 201mph, yikes!

They classify my car as a "Big Block" because of the cubic inches. :D I purchased the PG adapter kit from SVSi back in 2006. If I remember correctly, the kit was developed in conjuction with SVSi and Coan Racing. As far as I know, SVSi is no longer in business. Therefore the only option...

Thanks for all the compliments and thanks to gtex for the thread. It has definitely been a challenging road taking this car to the next level while trying to maintain some form of streetability.

    1/4 Mile Vipers

Underground did a great job with that car and the 6 Speed Viper record. One correction, it was on C16 race gas and not pump gas.
