In the 5+ years I have been associated with the Viper community, I have yet to meet an owner who was "living beyond their means". Of course I don't have access to people's financials but I think you are WAY off base trying to generalize about the owners of this car. After you OWN a Viper and...
A little birdie told me he had some news in 5 days and promised to tell me not only what the price will be but he is also giving me a picture of the real car.
Bet my little birdie is more accurate than yours!

Jon,
Thanks for making the Viper club of North/Central Florida feel welcome at the track in Daytona. The shirts are awesome and even though I couldn't find anything to have Dominik sign it, I did get pictures with him. To me that was a bigger thrill. Very humble guy and seemed genuinely...
I have always liked the brushed aluminum look added to the interiors of the 99-02 Gen II cars. I know it takes some dremel work to make the handles fit on a 96-98 car, but my question is will the rest of the door panel fit? If I just replace the entire panel with the new handles included, will...
Jon, we got them from Jon B. He was driving the pace car and had one for every Viper driver that showed up. You could beg or bribe him. First time I have met him and he was really nice, but he WAS picky about who got one! Limited shirt I guess.
BTW, where did you get the picture?
Ron
Jon, we all got commemorative shirts with the time and track on them and we tried having him sign those but no decent pens around. Bummer!
Hey Matt, why didn't you come to Daytona Dodge before the race?
Ron
Yesterday while at Daytona, a group of Viper owners got to meet and hang out with Dominik Farnbacher. He's the driver of the Viper that just set the newest record at the famous track in Germany, putting our car back on top where it belongs. What a great guy. Speaks excellent English and very...
My cheap DD is an 03 POS Neon. I really don't care what people think when I am driving it. The only problem is when I run into someone from high school I am NEVER in my Viper, always in the Neon. I have entertained the thought of putting a "My other car" sticker on the Neon, but haven't done it...
Meguiars butter wax. And before anyone here bashes it, my car is BLACK and looks great. No swirl marks, but I really make sure there is no dust or dirt on it before I do anything.
And, it stays in the garage so the wax lasts a little longer.
Ron
I had a persistent AC leak. Would stay charged for about a month then slowly leak out. Did the o-ring fix and I am going on 6 months with cold air. AND I am in Central Florida where the heat and humidity will kill a man during the summer.
Ron
Get rid of the watermark. Can't see anything through it. If you are just starting out, I wouldn't worry too much about people "stealing" your pics. And as stated above, I don't really like tilting my head that much to look at a picture.
Ron
I will also plead you to get new tires. Not worth a life and bad ones HAVE cost Viper owners dearly. Other than that, you can't go wrong with a 97 GTS! (of course I am biased)
Ron
Leave it to Junkman to jump in and help another Viper guy. Junk, if you aren't careful, you might cause me to develop a whole new respect for Vette guys!
