Well, I may have solved it tonight. My friend and I took the alternator out and over to Autozone (yeah, I know...) for a bench test and it checked out good. This won't tell if a diode is bad but it did tell me if it was the regulator and it said it wasn't. I realize bench tests aren't the...
I already drive mine pretty regularly and keep the battery on a tender for the most part when it's going to sit for extended periods. But I didn't fully charge the new battery before starting it, so maybe that is part of the problem. I put it on the tender last night to get a full charge. I'm...
I'm having the same issue as the OP and several others. Can anyone provide what the solution was? Did fully charging the battery truly fix the issue? I've tried 2 different new batteries and have the same issue with both.
Well that's interesting. I just went to view my own profile to see if my VIN was on record and I get the "you do not have permission to access this page" message so I can't even view my own profile lol.
So you have no emotion or opinion whatsoever, yet the word "pressured" is used here instead of "asked" or "inquired". "Pressured" is a strong word, please supply the language Ralph used that is FACT and represents "pressured". Seriously, I'm sure we'd all love to see this (and your reply).
Lack of 700 hp. I'm not going to trade in my Gen IV for $60k (probably less than that actually) + another $70k for 40 hp upgrade regardless of all the other improvements of the car. It's a horsepower war out there and the biggest d**k wins.
So Lee's gone. What about the Marshalls, are they officially gone yet? If not, they'll continue to pull the strings of whoever is in the leadership role.
Where are all the "Heavies" like Woodhouse, Tomball and those guys at now that the s**t has hit the fan? Do they have any power to lean on the current regime? Or are they cutting ties? Did Woodhouse release (for lack of a better word) the raffle car? Maybe I missed it but I never heard the...
I've read claims as high as 10hp and as little as 0 so who knows. I would assume it's safe to say you won't "feel" it by any means, but its one of the cheaper mods out there and I'm starting out small :)
Good to hear, but how exactly will they receive this input? Should we start posting polls, like "Who wants the 'Owner' status back" and "How do you want your National Officers Elected"? It seems one of the major problems in the first place was the the BOD being out of touch with the Viper...
From what I had been seeing, the Gen 4 tubes were going for about that. Snakeoyl Products had a package deal of the tubes plus K&n or Green filter and it was considerably more. I'm sure you could make your own for cheaper than I paid, but it was worth not dealing with the hassle.
I've been looking around now for a set of smooth tubes for my Gen 4 and Parts Rack seems to be the only place I can find that carries them by themselves (not part of a induction kit) but they are $149 for Gen 4. Are there cheaper alternatives?
I was able to test drive one in Omaha, NE. The dealer (Baxter Dodge) had a new red GTS specifically for test drives. It was great and the salesman was a car guy who knew his stuff and showed me around the warehouse that was full of all kinds of nice cars. Had a great experience out there.
This was at Baxter Dodge in Omaha, they have a demo GTS with all the bells and whistles available for test drive and it was great. I was even smitten with the backup camera :2tu:. If anyone is in the area I'm sure their Viper guy Mark Edwards would be happy to let you demo it. Same goes for...
I admit it. I didn't like the front end/headlights of the Gen V from seeing the pics day 1. I told eveyone I knew I couldn't believe they would make such an ugly front end. I often added in my disgruntled view of the measly 40 hp bump. "The Europeans got to 'em" I bellowed. Well, fast...
Side by side from your front pic, the Gen IV styling looks better - almost more refined looking. But yeah, hard to pass up on the upgrades of the Gen V. Congrats!
