Personally I would not buy a boosted Viper if I was not specifically looking for a boosted Viper. I’d buy the cleanest closest to original Viper I could afford…that way I can turn it into my own vision.

Got the suspension and undercarriage degreased and detailed to like new condition…also changed out the brake pads to EBC ceramic dustless Redstuff pads front and rear. Also changed out the rotors to stoptech drilled rotors. Now I just need to change the fluid and bleed all four corners.
Spent the last couple days detailing the undercarriage…next up is new drilled rotors and low dust ceramic pads. The stock Brembo pads make a stupid amount of break dust all over the car.
I think the reasoning was because the Viper was a road going race car by design, so there was no reason to build a separate engine platform for the ACR cars.
I have 19x13” rear wheels (2017 Viper wheels) with 355/30 tires on my car now….I never thought about how the 19” wheels would affect the gearing. They are 2” bigger than the stock 17” wheels.
