This week we will find out if Dodge Viper will own a National Championship in the SCCA Club Racing T1 class. Please join the Woodhouse Auto Family in your support of Naykid Racing and their drivers Scotty B. White and Cindi Lux. Corvette has owned this class since 200l when Bobby Archer brought us our last piece of glory. What follows is the official press release (also known as shameless bragging). You can learn when the T1 race will air by going to www.speedtv.com. The SCCA National Championship Run Offs are being held for the last time at Mid-Ohio before moving to Topeka next year.

NayKid Racing Adds Woodhouse, World’s Largest Viper Dealer, to Runoffs Effort

PUYALLUP, Wash., September 12, 2005 – Two of the biggest names associated with Dodge’s Viper SRT10 will combine for an assault on the 2005 SCCA National Championship Runoffs Presented by Kohler®. NayKid Racing announced that Woodhouse Auto Family of Blair, Nebraska will back the Vipers of Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.) and Scotty B. White (Puyallup, Wash.) at the T1 national championship event to be held at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Oh. On September 23rd. The arrangement brings together for the first time Woodhouse, the world’s largest retailer of the V10-powered American supercar located, and NayKid Racing who won two divisional titles in their debut of two Dodge Viper SRT10s in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) T1 competition this season.

The 2005 Runoffs, the last at Mid-Ohio, marks the first appearance of the newest iteration of the Viper SRT10 at the Runoffs and provides a natural promotional opportunity for Woodhouse Auto Family and Woodhouse.com. Woodhouse Auto Family will join long-time NayKid Racing backer KUMHO Tires as the primary marketing partner for the effort. Other marketing and technical support comes from Dodge Motorsports, the SRT Division of Dodge, Mopar Performance Parts, Forgeline Wheels, CORSA Exhaust and Moton Shocks. Lux will challenge for her first Runoffs title in the No. 78 Viper while White will go for his first win at the event in the No. 3.

“We know NayKid Racing is podium capable and so is the Dodge Viper SRT10,” remarked Bob Woodhouse, owner of the Woodhouse Auto Family. “So there you have it, the reason our name is slobbering all over the two Dodge Viper SRT10’s that you will see running T1 at the Runoffs this year. Our company and I are deeply involved in road racing and we want the competitors and fans to know us as an auto dealer that ‘gets it’.”

“This is the Runoffs’ final year at Mid-Ohio before moving to Topeka so us being a part of NayKid Racing’s title chase couldn’t have happened at a better time,” continued Woodhouse. “We saw this as an opportunity to put Woodhouse Viper and Woodhouse.com as top of mind awareness for all motorsports enthusiasts.”

The one-race deal will provide a stronger marketing base for NayKid Racing’s effort to capture the first SCCA National titles for the Dodge Viper SRT10. Finishing the ‘regular’ season at Mid-Ohio on August 21st, both Lux (Northern Pacific [NorPac] Division) and White (Southern Pacific [SoPac] Division) earned the first divisional T1 titles for the Viper SRT10 and for SRT.

“This SO ROCKS having Woodhouse Dodge, the largest Viper dealer in the world, support our T1 program,” said an enthusiastic White. “I met Bob Woodhouse in 1995 at Solo II Nationals and I was impressed at what a regular guy he is. And now they have signed on with us in spite of having their own program in [SCCA] World Challenge GT. This is huge! I mean talk about giving our T1 program the maximum credibility. The crew and everybody involved is so jacked up from this Woodhouse deal; it means a lot, and we will do our best to represent!”

Woodhouse Auto Family is a group of automobile dealerships in the Midwest. The Blair, Nebraska location that is the world’s leader in Viper sales, is also in the top-five of volume for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge representing approximately 5,000 new car sales each year. Woodhouse also retails for Ford Motor Company in Blair. The company is also a major retailer for Lincoln-Mercury, Mazda and Porsche in Omaha, Neb. and sells Nissans at their Bellevue ‘campus’. A key that makes the Woodhouse Auto Family such a major player in new and used car retail is its state-of-the-art on-line sales department at www.Woodhouse.com. Thousands of new cars and trucks from each of the Woodhouse dealerships are sold each year to buyers all over the country via on-line sales.

“Obviously we are excited to have such an outstanding organization as the Woodhouse Auto Family to come onboard for the last race of the year,” offered Lux who also acts as the Managing Director for NayKid Racing. “Talk about a dealership that lives and breathes Vipers! Just look at Bob Woodhouse himself. He personally races a Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in World Challenge but then eagerly wanted to help us out in our program. These people totally dig Vipers and are such a perfect fit with our race team. They have been in the industry for a long time and certainly know how to take care of their customers, either on or off the track.”

“What we hope to drive into victory lane at the Runoffs is almost the same Viper SRT10 that you can go onto Woodhouse.com and order. So, that old adage, ‘race on Sunday, sell on Monday should be changed to race on Sunday, sell on Sunday. People won’t even have to leave their couch after watching the race on SPEED Channel to surf out and buy a new SRT10 from Woodhouse. And that is a big part of what this sport is all about,” closed Lux.

Hey Bob & the Viper Nation from Lexington OH!

Well gang its not looking too bad so far, we have been out on track testing this week at Mid-O and the NayKid Racing/KUMHO Tire/Woodhouse Auto Family SRT10 Vipers are the fastest hot rods on the track so far! :2tu:

There is another Viper from the East coast but he seems to be a couple seconds off the pace and another one from MI. that we haven't seen run yet...

A couple fast guys in (podium finishers from 2004) Corvettes were there but didn't quite match our speed... Although the GM factory entry of John Heinricy hasn't showed yet... BTW he has won it 4 years in a row with out ever having another car lead a lap...

Anyway, we are encouraged and stoked to have 4 Vipers in T1 at Runoffs and will do our best to represent! :usa:

The NayKid Racing team wants to send a GIANT THANK YOU out to Bob Woodhouse for his generous support of our T1 program, man it feels good to be home again with Vipers under the tent and in the garage! :D

Oh, one more thing,

Cindi Lux the driver of the #78 NayKid Racing Viper just told me that we are going to run up to Norwalk tomorrow night for the V10 Nationals to hang with some of the straight line racers!

We would also like to extend an open invitation to any of the Viper Nation to come visit us at Mid-O all next week as we work to put our Viper Hot Rods up front at the SCCA Runoffs for 2005. Its the last year for the Runoffs to be held at Mid-O, a track known as a handling track and also for its technical difficulty and since the SCCA restricts the Vipers by 40% to slow them down to Z06 speed we have to rely on the awesome handling of the Viper's suspension and the superior grip of the KUMHO Tires to getus to the front :2tu:

CU at the track,

sbw :usa:
