Hi All,

I have recently landed a 1995 Gen1 in Australia, I need to locate the Engine number for registration.
-I have read a lot of stuff online and i think what i have found is correct but easier to ask here.

I have been able to locate a 8 digit code on the passengers side below spark plug 1, it appears to be an etched number? Is this the correct length and location for this number?

Thanks for your help.

I believe you will find the Engine S/N on the side of the block above the pan rail below the #2 and #4 spark plugs. The car's full VIN should be on the same side, but vertically stamped on the rear bellhousing flange. Unless the engine was replaced at some point, it should match the windscreen plate.
