The saga continues from my last thread dealing with a rusted fuel pump. My new (Scharfs) fuel pump works great... That's the GOOD news. I flushed out the fuel line and fuel rails before I attempted to fire her up. I also added two bottles of fuel cleaner/booster directly into the fuel tank before I installed the new pump. Now I've got some fuel injector issues resulting from the same fuel contamination. The engine has one or two dead cylinders at this point
I'm going to remove all of the injectors to see if they are beyond cleaning. If so, I'll just replace them all and hope that they are still re-buildable as cores. It appears that once I remove the rails (after bleeding off any pressure), that the Injectors will just pull strait out... Is this the case?
Thanks for your time & any suggestions you might have!
