I do not feel bad for him. Hopefully he sent out a message to all others who try to BS on the internet. sometimes you get called out. he is the example for all of those people.

Here from LS1Tech. I stumbled across a thread about this while viewing a section of Tech that I don't normally look at. Lucky for me I found it. I feel sorry for Lance. I just cannot imagine how I'd feel if I made such a fool of myself in front of all my fellow enthusiasts. I remember the "Always tell the truth" speech my parents gave me oh so long ago. I guess Lance forgot that one. I don't think this thread has missed too many of the car boards though I doubt it'***** the import sites yet. I see fake kill stories on the import boards all the time so I think Lance may get some sympathy once those guys hit here. Any Lance sightings lately?

I bet JBW was like a celebrity at last nights meeting haha. Everyone rushing to meet him, and take pictures of his license plates. :-D

Actually there were a lot of people there. We came in under the radar and just had a nice time meeting new people. I am looking forward to some of the events that are planned.:drive:

I think you should create a shirt and start a website that says on front "Hi I am Lance" and on the back the famous picture and with 100,000 views so far you should do well. Just give me the 10% cut for thinking of it. I know I would and buy one and wear the hell out of it at the track. :2tu:

:hahaup: LMAO! Say that to whom ever reported this thread to Jalopnik...

Reporting it to Jalopnik or Autoblog or whatever is not stirring anything - they are just stating the fact about what happened, but, you saying I was thinking they were idiots until I met them is a poor attempt at whatever you were trying to do while infact I was the first person to ask why he calls them idiots.

Didn't want to go into this, but here goes, if I thought they were idiots and changed my mind after I met them, I'd have said "I stand corrected, they are nice people" or something like that. But by saying, "they are nice people *indeed*, I am just confirming my first thought".

Now, back to bashing lance....

I think we all owe Lance, specially our beloved advertisers. After all he brought nearly 100K visitors to the site in just a couple of weeks. That has to have some value.

Seriously, fun stuff, but I think we can all admit we have made mistakes we regretted. I've never done so on the Internet, but there is still time for me. I think if he steps up and addresses this the right way we would forgive him and move on.

Sorry I didn't have anything funny to add to the post.

Good idea. In fact if someone wanted to make some quick cash, make some up and sell them at VOI 11.

CALLING YOU OUT ON THIS ONE LANCERMAN!!! THAT WAS SUNDAY. THAT IS MY WIFE'S CORVETTE! See that the license plate frame says "Vanessa's Corvette." You probalby did not realize we have a Viper too. She hit the gas and you would not even play...and NO, we did not talk afterwards. We saw you take that picture with your camera on Rt.59 and 75th St. You owe the forum an apology for making up this crap.

This fail was so EPIC that it made it down to the mustang community :rolaugh::rolaugh::rolaugh::rolaugh::rolaugh:

We at New York Mustangs thank you for the awesome laugh

If someone tells you a bold face lie - from now on it'll be said that you 'got Lanced'.

Lance is now a verb.

For example. If a guy tells you "My Viper can do the 1/4 mile in 8 seconds - and it's completely stock." He's Lancing you.

Or if someone tells you they'll meet you at noon and they don't show up until 12:30 - you've been Lanced.

If the forum would like, I'll make a trophy-sized one that can be gifted/re-gifted for some honor at IL or national events as the Lance Romance Award. :D

That is incorrect. I have been following this since the 2nd, and this was just the kicker to make me register. Hate if you want on an import guy. I'm stricktly an enthusiast of all cars. I love my Prelude, and it is cheaper for my budget. Some nice vipers on here though. Seen a green one in River Park area of Fresno/Clovis California. I can't stop coming to this thread though. I feel obligated to check in once a day during work. Thanks for the few moments every day of laughter. :2tu:

You won't find any hatin' on imports or Preludes around here. I remember going to the Honda dealership in Denver in 1984 and looking at the new Preludes and wishing I could afford one - they've allways been a great car. Ten years after that I was at the Dodge dealership drooling over the Viper wishing I could afford one. 2008 I bought my first Viper, 2009 I bought my second and may add a third one to the barn this year.
You can hang around this site all you want - most of us didn't own Vipers when we started hanging out on the site. I would guess it's safe to say a lot of us never thought we would have the chance to own one of these cars.

I think this guy deserves one too.

And this one looked tempting even to me. I was taking very small sips before I confirmed that it wasn't motor oil:

Not hating on an import guy. Sorry if it came across like that. I'm a car guy too and currently own 7 imports (well 6 plus a TT Stealth). Just calling it like I see it. Still, you cannot argue the fact that fake kill stories run rampant on a lot of import sites. Ever heard the term "Ricer Fly By"? So many of those end up as a kill story on a forum somewhere. Maybe I'm wrong on the sympathy thing though. That's open to interpretation. Again I'll ask, any Lance sightings?

I think "Lance" would also work well in mixed company if you need to say "Bull-Lance" or "You're full of Lance" and not offend the soccer mom with kids standing next to you in line at the market.

Overall, I guess there are worse things in the world to be than Lance....I just can't think of any at the moment :rolaugh:

Cheers,
George

All i have to say is WOW! This is way to funny. I read the first couple posts of this thread a few weeks ago And at that time JBW1997 hadnt called lance out yet and i wasnt really interested. Lately its always on the top of my screen i just had to read into it further. I read all ten pages and this has got to be the funniest thread ever and im glad lance got what he diserved. This thread reminds me of the time that 24 year old guy was bragging about his buddies lambo and his brother aston martin. But this is on a much higher level of OWNED!
