I have run both a Viper GTS and my GT3 on a road course. The GT3 is faster, it pulls just as hard, handles better and brakes waaay better. The fit and finish of the Porsche is truly amazing. Trust me, the GT3 is a drivers car. By the way it gets 26 MPG on the highway.
I own a GT3. I had previously owned a 2000 Viper GTS. Very different cars. The GT3 is an amazing car, as is the Viper. Both awesome. Lack of garage space and funds or I would love to have them both. Several magazines show the GT3 running 3.9 seconds 0-60.
A better comparsion is against a non turbo Porsche...A 996 GT3. I have owned both and let me tell you the GT3 will beat the Viper in a straight line and on a road coarse.
I know the torque SOUNDS low but it isn't. The car has almost as much kick as my GTS did. 4.2 second 0-60 times are not achieved but a car that is low on power or torque. Let me tell you boys this...after owning both a Viper and this car the GT 3 would beat the Viper in EVERY catagory. If I...
The track confirms it...Porsche GT3 is much faster on a road race track than the Viper. I thought the Viper was quick but the brakes and handling on the GT3 are better than my GTS. Both great cars...I do miss the Viper.
I am telling you this car is superior to a Viper. I have run 1:46 minute laps a Mid-Ohio in my old Viper. If you have run there you know this is fast. I am sure the GT3 will beat it.
If I wanted to drive a Lexus I would drive my wifes car.
Again, I LOVE the Viper but the GT3 is just about...
I got Black with Black interior. Red belts and red stitching. The car has as much gawk factor as the GTS. As some of you are aware it does not look like a regular Porsche.
Paid less tha MSRP, very fair consderinig even the big dealers only get one a year.
If I had the funds and the garage...
Just traded my 2000 Viper GTS in on a new Porsche 911 GT-3. I love the Viper but this Porsche blows it away. Fit and finish is awesome on the Porsche. Dealership is no comparision. Dodge dealerships are normally not very nice and not used to dealing with expensive cars. What a difference at the...
