I agree with what you say. I should have said the dealers now get CD's now unless they request a paper copy, then they get to pay more for the limited numbers being printed, thus the price increase.
I also doubt if the they know the difference between curb height, design height and dynamic toe which is part of checking a Viper suspension and alignment.
If you pull a rear injector out, mass quantities of liquid fuel will drain into the cylinder if you do not depressurize the rail. If the injector is returned to the manifold and now you turn the engine over, you will be trying to compress the liquid fuel and the motor doesn't like that. If the...
You should always de-pressurize the fuel system before you remove an injector. Other wise the fuel will drain from the manifold down the opening you created, and will find its way into the cylinder. Liquid does not compress very well.
Hold the bolt, tighten the nut. I assume that you will place the vehicle at design height(not ride height) when you tighten the bolts. This makes the upper rear bolts hard to get to.
Re: $300.00
Jon is correct. Technically, the expiration date includes that the work be completed also. There a number of vehicles that have not had the work done for what ever the reason. If you where planning having the work done, I suggest that you contact your dealer to set a completion date.
The dealers have a list of VIN's that need the RRT. In the RRT was a list of parts that could be needed during the repair. The dealers started ordering multiples of everything on the list before vehicle number one showed up at the dealer. So, that depleted the stock of parts over night. A...

Re: 04 Cam sprocket VIN\'s
What I would like know is who said that this is RECALL. The letter that went to dealers is NOT a recall. I repeat, it is not a recall. It is a Rapid Responce Transmittal to have dealers check their inventory and perform a repair procedure. Owners of the sold vehicles...
I am glad that the your problem has been solved.
The sad part is that the dealer did not ask the you the proper questions when you dropped off the vehicle. Any time there is electrical problem on any vehicle, they should ask thing like: Has anything been installed in the vehicle resently. Does...
When you put the vehicle in the battery save mode, the wake up circuits to the vehicle are turned off. This means the RKE and electronic door entry will not work. The only way to open the door is to use the driver door key cylinder or pull the inside door handle all the way out.
I have a few questions for Mamba on the statements you made:
(A lot of people seem to think there is a problem with the Gen 1 head gaskets.... Wrong, the head gaskets are a symptom, of the REAL problem - which is the steel cylinder sleeves were poorly designed and they slip!!!!!)
How was...
Look at what I wrote back on 7/23/03, this may help you. BTW, you can not adjust idle with any of the screws that you may find attached to the throttle body. The engine comtroller will modify what you do...
Re: VIN #\'s ........how do they work ?
The information about VIN's on the web site is out of date and has some errors in it.
As for the sequence in the numbers, they are not in order do to many reasons. Sometimes due to color runs or when orders where placed in the system.
Usually CAAP will...
The WSS provides the ICU wheel rotation. The ICU provides a digital signal via a hardwire as mentioned above to the JTEC. The JTEC puts vehicle speed on the PCI bus which is sent to the MIC to be displayed on the speedo. The VSS was eliminated a couple of years ago. Hope this helps.
Re: Tech Tip From Rich Carlson reguarding
Hey Jay, may be we need to have a tab under the "How To" for some easy "Maintenance Issues" that the owners can perform themselves before going to the dealer. What do you think?
