There was never any doubt that Chrysler would go into bankruptcy and the government knew it. Getting the taxpayers on the hook was just a way to give the government leverage when it came to the actual proceedings and, I must say, elicit responses such as yours to cover their crime. Terrible. We would have been much better off if Chrysler had gone into bankruptcy without a dime of taxpayer money (it wouldn't have been chapter 7). ACR in Top Gear magazine
Even more annoyingly, they didn't put (W) beside the time and have apparently forgotten about it. On more than one occasion they've had some other sports car on a bone dry track run a little faster, and have commented on how it was faster than the Viper.- fluffy

Any 6''3 Viper owners?
6'3", 180lbs. 1" seat lowering kit installed and it's perfect. Pedals are a little bit close even at full extension but I have long legs so you may be better or worse.- fluffy

You should be able to find an '03 for right around $50k with some searching. There's a low mileage silver '03 in the VCA classifieds for $50k, and a black '03 for $56k with a few mods, including motons! You shouldn't have any problem finding something.- fluffy

It can be state by state, or on a station by station basis where there is no state requirement. Here in Massachusetts I only have access to E10, so that's what I use. The lower MPG and HP from ethanol is very real, and has nothing to do with the octane and everything to do with lower energy content (gallon for gallon) of ethanol vs gasoline. Ethanol contains about 66% as much chemical energy as gasoline: 76,000 BTU/gallon (low heat value basis) vs 114,000...- fluffy

And with the Gen III came the run-flats, which I'm sure more than made up for the ABS. I'd be willing to bet that even with 600hp we'll see far fewer "fatal crash" threads that involve the '08s.- fluffy

*shrug* I sure didn't pay for different rear gears. It lugs a bit in 6th at 50mph (still at nearly 1000 rpm if I remember correctly) but as long as I don't need to accelerate in a hurry it does OK for cruising. The drone at that speed gets old quick though. As for the gearbox, what can I say...- fluffy
