18\" HRE\'s and Lowering Vs Stock height

I have been considering changing my wheels to HRE's. Before pulling the trigger, I was wondering if anyone has done this and kept the car stock (GTS) height. I have seen many cars with aftermarket rims that look fine stock, but really look like they HAVE to be lowered with aftermarket rims. Your thoughts?

I have 19" HRE's and I have lowered the car 1 1/2" (Eibach Springs - 1", NW Engineering Lowering Caps - 1/2").

Re: 18\" HRE\'s and Lowering Vs Stock height

I have the 19" HRE's and my car is lowered one inch. It looks and works great! However, there's no reason why the two have to be tied together. If you want 19" wheels and plus size the tires, there is only a negligible difference in overall diameter.

I lowered my car because the stock height (with our without aftermarket rims) just didn't look good to me. Ask anybody that has seen my car and they will tell you it's awesome looking.
