1st of all thanks to gr8asp and everyone who posted info a couple of
weeks ago regarding shift points and especially the fact that the srt
can make it through the traps in 3rd(almost). I drove in off the street
with the car at 200 degrees and ran a 1.992 sixty foot and an :usa: 11.966 at (get
this) 123.09 mph. The car has 910 miles on it and the conditions
were very good(about 60 degrees) and it was sunny all day. My car is
exactly the way it came from the factory(bone stock). It was my only run
because i needed to get back for family time. Im very impressed with
the car and how it hooks as well as how it pulls on the top end. Thanks
again Gr8asp and everyone who gave input. Eagle :usa:

not sure if you crossed the line in 3rd or 4th but at least for the GenII Vipers it was suggested you shift into 4th. I crossed the lines in 3rd at the rev limiter, then tried 4th and got a few more tenths. Nice times, especially for the first time!!

hmmm, makes me wonder how in the hell the Z06 is supposed to hit 127 in the 1/4 with less hp and WAY less TQ. I understand about less weight, but that's only a tenth... 2 at the best.. ;)

Down-hill track and/or tail-wind can help that considerably. I wouldnt put it passed GM or the Vette Fanboys...

I believe that the test Z06's were ringers, and that the production Z06s will be doing around a 122MPH trap speed.

Great times Eagle, especially for your first time dragracing the Viper!

Good first effort.

Post again when you get another couple of runs.

I too find the new Z-06 mph and 1/4 times a bit suspect. It is lighter, has lower gears (3.42's I think) but can traction control be that effective?
