Another 2013 Viper Discussion...

Guys,

I can't help but get this out of my head, but I watched the American Top Gear episode with the new Ferrari California and couldn't help, but feel that it resembled a viper a bit. In fact, in my opinion it resembled the volado design concept which has been said on this board many times to most closely resemble the concept shown at VOI. Then it really got to me when I saw a California drive by me the other day. Does anyone else here feel this way?

What I saw at VOI looks nothing like the Ferrari and in my opinion, much better than the volado design. I think the Volado design is the most interesting of all the guesswork designs out there though. So, if you did not get a chance to see it, you should just know you will be excited when you finally do. Just be patient.

If they would take the volado design and removed those ghastly lines in the body and replace it with the signature Viper "gills", very deep and pronounced I think the side profile would be perfect.

Now as far as the front is concerned it needs work.

The rear is fine, just ditch the rear exhaust.

While I do not have a photographic memory the Volado design is pretty darn close to prototype I saw in SLC IMO.

If you notice just in this thread alone people have said it looks nothing like it and others say it does.

I'm starting to think it will be Novemeber-December before we see it.

Im in the minority and dont care for the Volado design. I didnt care for the California when it came out, but it has grown on me after seeing many in person. I also liked the Top Gear episode about it. It really is a great everyday Ferrari. With that said, I hope the new Viper doesnt look like either. Neither are aggressive looking enough, IMO.

I wasn't around the viper realm when the '06 coupe hit the market. How did that sell? Where they all gone before they got to the dealership?

No, some were. It mattered on color. Certain colors just lingered but others were and still are hard to find. Yellow is fastest so they are hard to get.

At this point the only thing the volado has in common with the real deal is the GTS inspired shape...Everyone has commented that the new style has more in common with its GTS roots and a lil from the gen3/4 as well..But with a front end that is somthing a lil new...

It cant be long..Dodge haS REALLY DONE THEIR HONEWORK AND IS KEEPING THIS UNDER WRAPS QUITE WELL
