My backup lights aren't working most of the time, when I back up of coarse :p .
It seems to me if I play around with the shifter in reverse I can feel the switch and if I monkey with it the lights will eventually come on.

I'd rather not take it to my local dealer even though the car still has warranty, because every time I go there I get my car back with a differant problem the dealer created (as was the case with my RT).

Is there an adjustment for the switch?
Is it easy to get at the switch?
How do you get at the switch?
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Thanks

Is there an adjustment for the switch? No.

Is it easy to get at the switch? It's on the passenger side of the transmission, above fluid level.

How do you get at the switch? From under the car, wish I could tell you you don't need to remove the belly pan, but maybe you do. I recall it being close to the transmission tunnel wall, and you don't have much room to pull the old plug off and push the new one on.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Yes, it was the switch. Died over a period of a few days.

Straightforward do-it-yourself job. Good luck.
