Besides Corvettes what are our Vipers (GEN I and GEN II) main competition?

What car (besides Corvettes) is a Viper GEN I and Gen II main competitor and why? What is the main car (Besides the vette) that competes with GEN I and IIs in the used car market? NSX? Lotus Exige? 911?

Add Supra, Cobra Replica, Mustang SVT, WS6, RX7, 308, 328, 348 Not saying how they compete but those are some cars in that era.

There are quite a few comparison tests out there. Some of the cars with which it is compared are: 993 and 996 Turbo, C5 Z06, Ferrari 355, 360, 550, DB7 Vantage, Esprit, NSX.....

IMO the Acura NSX is the only comparably priced car from the early 90's era that is as iconic as the viper.

The supra turbo has a following as well, but it's much more niche, the average non-car guy wouldn't even know what a supra was.

If we ignore price, the Ferrari F40 and Mclaren F1 are the top cars of that era.
