car cover problems

My 97 blue car cover is sheading blue lint. I have washed it recently at a laundry mat in the large front loading washer with tide detergent and it did not help. Anyone having the same problem?

Tide does that to soft fabrics (I know my GF is a laundry queen). She says to put in the washer again with no soap and let it air dry. Good luck.

...and wash it on cold. The hot cycle melts the cover. Don't ask me how I know.
