cover on fog lights

Can someone tell me how to take the clear cover off on a 97 viper I need to clean inside it. look like you can turn it and it will come off but I do not want to try it because I have a fear of breaking it.

Yes, Steven.....look closely and you will see three little "tabs" holding the lens into the fascia. Take a plastic trim stick or if you are careful, you can use a tiny screwdriver, and disengage these retainer tabs and the lens will come out. To install it back, insert the lower tab into the hole in the fascia, then flex the cover and insert the others. Easy. I'm assuming your 97 is like my 98. I think it is.

I wouldn't use any kind of tool. Mine always have come out by hand focusing on one tab at a time, starting on one of the upper tabs. 97 GTS
