Hello,

i ahve a big big problem i have run in today.

First of all i am a car mechanic and i know how to turn wrenches.

I wanted to change the coolant temp.sensor on my 01 GTS today because it was broken.
The sensor turned out 1mm and then broke away (no much power)so the main unit of the sensor still sits in his place in the head,i havent trusted my eyes at this moment :omg:

Did anyone ever had this situation or heard af a sensor that break off while turning out o a viper? What can i do now?Bore it out and drill a new hole?Right now there isnt a leak from it,its plugged by itself.

Whats about relocate the sensor elsewhere, maybe directly in the radiator?:dunno:
Hope anyone can chime in,last thing i wanted is to remove the head for such a small thing

regards Daniel

Thanks but what is an EZ? Is that the "Left-OutDriver-Tool"?
That would be a good idea, maybe that works :)

What a luck,i found a TORX 60 1/2" nut that went perfect in with a little hammer.
Went out easily with that :)
Now it shows the real temperature and also has faster throttle response it seems :2tu:
Thanks guys
