Did a search, but came empty handed. Anyone know how much oil gets pumped in the motor when the engine is running or at WOT?

It is much harder to figure out than you think. Oil pumps are oversized and free flow can be many gallons per minute. When you force it to pump into the engine, the pressure relief valve dumps a very larger percentage, which varies by speed (more dumping at high speed.) Oil temperature makes a difference because thinner oil leaks by faster. Oil temperature also makes a difference as to how much actually gets to all parts of the engine, and how frequently. If you need a number to size an oil cooler or something equivalent, maybe a dry sump supplier has some info. And be careful if a true data point is supplied, since it will vary from engine model to model.

Tom - if you were to guess, what would be the number during "normal" engine operation? How many quarts of oil does the pan hold as reserve when the engine is running or at WOT?

This guess is hopefully at least in the right order of magnitude.

An oil pump can flow 5 gallons/minute.

Attached to an engine, the output would be 0.5 gallons/minute.

My Gen 1 pan holds 10-11 quarts, depending on what book you read.

WOT doesn't matter - the pump doesn't know if it's 3000 RPM idle or WOT.

At max engine speed, it might be 1 gallon/minute.

All these are guesses.
