Anyone know Erik from EMI Racing Suspensions? We seem to have lost contact and I am trying to reach him to get an update on some shocks he has been working on for me. Hope all is okay.

If anyone has another contact number, or knows how I can reach him that would be great,

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Good luck with that? Years ago I bought some springs from him for my Viper days car. He sent me the wrong springs which was an honest mistake so he had me send the springs back.

He never sent me the correct springs nor the cash I paid him. Each time I subsequently saw him at a race I asked for the springs or the cash and he always was very nice but never came up with either one. Later he got amnesia about the deal and luckily I saved the invoice and the canceled check to refresh his recollection. All these years later I still never got the springs or reimbursed. Very nice guy, good driver, lousy businessman.

Call Dan at DC Performance, Eric regularly sets up race cars over there from what I have heard. At least he did so for my comp coupe when it was being rebuilt at DC a couple of years back.

This is a new response to an old post, but all the better to show a point of great customer service !

I bought and installed a set of Penske shocks from EMI Racing, Erik Messley, back in 2009. I had a problem a couple weeks ago, which Erik feels was possibly and I feel probably the result of a poor alignment shop job. (another lesson I have learned and in the future I will use Proformance Industries, Mario, rather than the local guy who seemingly couldn't even fix a plumbing fixture on a bathroom trap if he had the chance, let alone properly set up Penske shocks).

Nevertheless I called Erik out of the blue when I noticed the problem. He took my call, on a weekend while he was at a track, advised me to get him the shock ASAP for a rebuild, and promptly took care of it and it is on its way back for me to install this weekend. He also pointed out to me what I have to look for on my other shocks to make sure the last alignment shop didn't screw those shocks up also. He hasn't mentioned anything to me about a bill, but I will look for it in the shipment. But still, he was more concerned with handling my problem and helping me out.

I would recommend EMI racing to anyone looking to improve the handling of their car.

    Thanks ERIK !!!!
