Fire extinguisher placement

I am thinking of going to a track event over Memorial Day weekend. In order to be allowed to participate, I need to have a permanently mounted fire extinguisher in the car. Those in the community that track their cars; where do you typically mount the extinguisher?

Just mounted mine today. I put it on the passenger side just below the console on the side wall. Mounted it horizontally so it was easy to grab from the drivers seat.

I think there are kits that mount to the passenger seat bolts (on the floor) just in front of the seat.

I have one in my '06 Coupe-easy two minute install and passes tech.

The Roe kit that mounts to the passenger seat front (floor) retaining bolts works well. It will even work with the seat 2-inches lower.
